About Amiga Lingua

Hi, I’m Nicole!

I’m the founder and teacher behind Amiga Lingua. I started this company because I saw how many adults wanted to speak English confidently but were lacking a supportive environment to do so.

I am a Canadian educator, and for over 18 years I have been teaching English as a second language, helping students just like you all around the world improve their language skills, prepare for exams, and feel more confident in their daily lives.

My educational philosophy is centered around fostering connection, building relationships and creating a sense of belonging. I believe learning cannot happen without these three keys, and once they have been established, true learning begins. Learning is easier when students feel comfortable, seen, heard and respected, and this is the heart of my philosophy.

That is why my classes are:

• Small and interactive — so you actually get to speak

• Practical — we focus on situations you’ll really use

• Supportive — you get personalized feedback every class

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, gardening, cooking and walking on the beach.

Teaching is my calling; it is my vocation. I am living my dream through my work, and I want to support you in achieving your dreams, too!
